7 amp - Beverage-Air BB48 fridges (assume 2)
4 amp - Beverage-Air UCR-34 fridge

Billy,
Choose your equipment carefully and you shouldn't have electrical issues. The above equipment list contains some low power consumption options we are using in our new build-out.

LOL! There's a lot of worthy people waiting for accounts. I get emails occasionally from people asking if I can pull strings with Rob or Alistair - which I can't - and we're talking a couple of the US (or world's) top baristas, some premier roasters, etc.

Back on topic - maybe I missed it in this thread, but what happened to the vacpot idea, Billy?

Yeah, about that. I really, really, really, want to do vac pot. And I will, but it just won't be on the menu. I might bring em in, but it won't be a standard drink option (at this time). Doing french press and vac pot is a little much at this time.

The free standing bar is brilliant. I still think your Miss. store bar set up is the most barista concious I have seen. The massive space in the middle is fantastic. I am really excited for you guys to open. It will definitely warrant a flight up there for the grand opening. Good luck you two.

best,
G

There's those halogen systems I told you about; I first saw them in Anaheim back at SCAA 2002.

Hey Billy and Kevin, sounds like its going to be a great space for watching the action. Wanted to pass on something that has been great for us up here. We installed a bar glass rinser right beside the sink to clean steam pitchers. I got the idea from my old bar days. Its just a simple 8" x 8" peice that sits on top of your bar and is easily plumbed right to the sink. The beauty is you toss ( hopefully not ) any left over milk into the sink and then give it a quick blast on the sprayer and you have a totally clean and COLD in seconds. Ill attach a few pics aswell. My local bar supply guy was able to order them for around $100 and it took an hour to install. Anyways, good luck. look forward to checking out the new shop.

I have an architect colleague who grew up in Tokyo- he's asking around there about these halogen units. I've seen individual "portable" plugin cooktop units, but they're the traditional quartz-halogen type.

I'm sure the new Press location has plenty of available power- as I recall each of the two spaces we're combining has a 200A panel.
