is a set (or two) of black tulip shaped capp cups.
Any leads as to where to find them? I've been looking for a while now, and am quite sick of failing.

How about contacting your local ceramics school/coop/whatever and seeing if there are any craftsmen who can help you?
Last year, I went to a friend of mine (who is a notable raku artist) to make cups and saucers for me. Some of the tests turned out fantastic but we didn't start creating until March and by then it really was too late to get things rolling in time for USBC.

Does a black tulip exist?
The only tulips I've seen have been Nuova Point (brown or white) and ikea (Jay?).
And I've seen plenty of black FAC or AFC - but not tulips.

Ikea has tulip shaped espresso and "tea" (read: cappuccino sized) cups in various colours. Not sure if they had black, but they had, last time I checked locally, about a half dozen colours from white to shocking green to dark purple. Something like $1.50 each including the saucers, and damned fine cups for the price.

but pricey. I found this great site a few weeks ago before the GLRBC, but then I realized that the price posted was PER CUP AND SAUCER! We could not afford to get 6 of these with our barista wages. Not when we could get 6 sets for the price of one.

Just got two sets of Terra Keramik, demis and capp cups. Wow. These are nice. Going to try them out this week. Very well made, and the attention to detail is nice.
The decorative rims are pure platinum, and each piece is signed in platinum by the artist. They looks great.
